Axis Communications is bringing out an addition to its H.264 video camera surveillance system. The Axis P1311 is aimed at organisations with demanding storage and bandwidth requirements, such as schools, shops, banks and office buildings. Features include progressive scan and a wide dynamic range for clearer images, support for MPEG-4 Part 2, optional support for SD/SDHC memory cards for local video recordings and video motion detection, audio detection and detection of camera tampering attempts like blocking or spray-painting.
