Azizi awards Dubai Health Care City construction contracts

Local contractor secures two contracts build two residential buildings

Azizi Developments has awarded the local Zahrat al-Safa Contracting two contracts totaling AED440m ($120m) for the construction of two buildings at Dubai Health Care City.

The first building is Fawad Azizi. It will 396 units, including 201 studios, 165 one-bedroom apartments and 30 two-bedroom apartments. The second building is Jawad Azizi will have 383 total units, including 216 studios, 137 one-bedroom apartments and 30 two-bedroom apartments. The construction contract for each tower is valued at AED220m.

Azizi Developments has other projects at Dubai Health Care City. Azizi Aliyah Residences is a AED470m project with 346 fully serviced residences with 191 studios, 135 one-bedroom apartments and 20 two-bedroom apartments, along with 16,000 square feet of retail space. Farhad Azizi will have a total of 634 units, including 396 studios, 218 one-bedroom apartments and 20 two-bedroom apartments.

Azizi is one of the most active developers in Dubai. In March it said it will start accepting prequalification applications for AED20bn ($5.45bn) of upcoming construction work in Dubai.

The developer says that construction work on its various projects is set to commence 60 days from now and will be delivered by 2020.

Azizi Development is developing more than 200 projects this year. Among the biggest projects are Azizi Riviera at Meydan One and Azizi Victoria at Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum City – District 7.
