
The contract was signed on 1 March, according to the KOC website.
The contract covers the maintenance of fire and gas detection systems at the company’s marine and export operation sites.
Contractors in Kuwait say although there are a number of contracts available in the country worth up to $100m, projects of any larger value are unlikely to go ahead while the National Assembly is dissolved (MEED 18:3:09).
Kuwait will hold its next parliamentary elections in May.
