Bahrain aims to attract families

Bahrain has all the ingredients needed to be one of the top family and leisure tourism destinations in the Gulf, said Prime minister Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. Speaking at the launch of Muharraq Land, a $50m project in Manama, Al Khalifa said 'besides its hospitable and friendly people and the government's support for investment in tourism, Bahrain enjoys the infrastructure for family and leisure tourism'. The BD19m project, which is located over an area of 93,618sqm, includes a recreation park, different kinds of rides and games, gardens, walkways, an external clinic offering free medical services, a hotel, and restaurants and cafes.
