Bahrain’s Prime Minister Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman al-Khalifa says growth of the kingdom’s economy in the second quarter of this year was satisfactory given current economic challenges, Reuters has reported. The kingdom’s economy grew 4.6 per cent in real terms during the period, marking a slowdown from first-quarter growth of 5.2 per cent year-on-year and 1.4 per cent quarter-on-quarter, according to figures by the statistics office. The gross domestic product of the non-Opec oil producer rose by 1.1 per cent from the previous three months, the figures showed.
