Net profits grow by 86.1 per cent
Oman’s Bank Sohar has posted an 86.1 per cent rise in net profit for the nine months ending 30 September to OR8.264m ($21.5m), up from OR4.44m during the corresponding period last year, Oman Daily Observer has reported. Operating income increased by 31.7 per cent from OR19.748m during the first nine months of last year to OR26.016m this year. Net loans and advances grew by 10.3 per cent from OR787m in December 2009 to reach OR868m as of 30 September 2010.
