

US-based Bechtel has opened a new regional headquarters in Riyadh as it continues to scale up its operations in the kingdom.
The new office will serve Bechtel’s growing team in Saudi Arabia which is working on major projects that include Neom, Trojena, Riyadh Metro and most recently, the New Murabba development project in Riyadh.
Bechtel’s celebrated 80 years of working in Saudi Arabia this year. Its history in the kingdom began in 1945 when it completed Ras Tanura Refinery. Since then, it has worked on over 300 projects in the kingdom.
Today, the company has nearly 3,000 professional staff working on projects, and continues to employ growing numbers of women and locals working at projects such as Neom, where more than 50 per cent of women on the project are Saudi nationals.
