Bids due for border roads

Bids are due to be returned by 7 December for two contracts, worth KD 2 million-3 million ($6 million-10 million) each, involving the upgrade of existing border roads in north and south Kuwait.

Nine companies are prequalified to submit prices for the contracts, which cover over 250 kilometres of dual-carriageway. Each contract will also include a two-year maintenance period. The client is the Ministry of Public Works, which is planning a number of major highway projects.
