Five companies submit bids for new intersection
Kuwait’s Public Works Ministry has received bids from five local companies for the contract to build a new intersection between the fifth ring road and Jahra road in Kuwait City.
The low bidder is the Kuwait Company for Process Plant Construction & Contracting (KCPC) with a price of KD20m ($70m). The other bidders are Mushrif Trading & Contracting Company at KD21m, Mohammed Abdulmohsin al-Kharafi & Sons at KD23m, Combined Group Trading & Contracting Company at KD23m, and the local United Gulf Construction Company (UGCC) at KD28m.
In mid-September the Public Works Ministry received bids for a contract to build intersections on the sixth ring-road serving the Jahra residential area, west of Kuwait City (MEED 22:9:09).
The low bidder was Mohammed Abdulmohsin al-Kharafi & Sons with a price of KD31m. The other bidders included Combined Group and UGCC.
