Bids in for Oman water consultancy contract

Six companies have submitted bids for a contract for consultancy services to Oman's Public Authority for Electricity & Water (PAEW).

Bahrain-based BDO Jawad Habib was the lowest bidder with a price of RO260,000 ($678,000). KPMG submitted a price of RO712,840 followed by Bank Muscat with an offer of RO779,169.

Ernst & Young bid RO940,000 while Germany’s Fichtner bid RO1.06m. Finally, Royal Haskoning of the Netherlands submitted a price of RO1.21m.

The winning bidder will advise PAEW on contract management services and the participation of private firms in the sultanate’s water sector (MEED 31:7:08).
