Local property developer Nakheel has received bids for ground improvement works on its Dubai Palm Deira development.
The bidders include the local/ UK Dutco Balfour Beatty, Germany’s Keller Grundbau and Vibro Foundation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of France's Soletanche Bachy.
The scope includes testing and ground improvements for the entire island, and it is expected to be roughly twice the size of a similar contract awarded to Vibro Foundation for Palm Jebel Ali in 2006 (MEED 5:5:06).
Van Oord of the Netherlands is the dredging contractor for Palm Deira.
