
Contract awarded for work on Soho Square project in Abu Dhabi
Local developer Bloom Holding has awarded the main enabling works contract for work on its Soho Square mixed-use development in Abu Dhabi.
The contract for the project on Saadiyat Island, which was awarded to Dutch Foundation Company & Concrete Rehabilitation, will see the firm complete the enabling works by the end of the first quarter of 2017.
Soho Square will be a $200m mixed-use development on Saadiyat Island near the New York University Abu Dhabi. It will be made up of 302 residential units as well as retail and dining spaces.
Lebanons MZ Architects is the lead architect on the scheme. The main construction tender is expected in the first quarter of 2017.
Earlier this month, Bloom Holding awarded a construction contract to a joint venture of the local Tharwaa and Al-Mansouri 3B, for the main construction work on the firms Park View mixed-use development on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi.
The company statement also confirmed that enabling works is approaching completion, with the final delivery of the scheme expected in the final quarter of 2017.
