Kuwait’s Alafco Lease and Finance Company has finalised its order for 20 Boeing 737 MAX 8s, worth an estimated $2.2bn based on list prices, on 13 November.
This doubles the lessor’s order book for the same plane model.
The order was previously announced at the Paris Airshow.
Boeing signed a $15.2bn deal with Dubai-based Emirates Airline for 40 B787-10 Dreamliners on the opening day of the Dubai Airshow this year.
It is the biggest deal yet signed during the show, with no development so far on the expected deal for up to 40 A380s with France’s Airbus.
