British Airways delays Saudi services

03 February 2009

British Airways announced today that it is delaying the resumption of its service to Saudi Arabia until Sunday 31st May, 2009. BA had previously said it planned to resume operations to Riyadh and Jeddah on March 30th, 2009, but it now says the process of setting up two new stations in the country has taken longer than expected, thus requiring the delay. All customers booked to travel between 30th March and 31st May 2009, on BA's Riyadh and Jeddah services will be offered a full refund or the chance to re-book once services start, the airline said.
