The construction sector has played a major role in the UAE’s development. Today it contributes 14 per cent to the country’s GDP and remains a key driver for the broader economy.
It has long been suggested that a more holistic approach to procuring capital expenditure projects could help address some of the challenges faced by stakeholders, from developers, contractors and consultants to lenders and investors.
The British Business Group Dubai and Northern Emirates Construction Sector Working Group are conducting a survey to better understand these challenges. They will then inform key stakeholders of the findings as they explore ways to improve the business landscape and encourage more foreign direct investment for the benefit of the UAE economy.
The survey is open to anyone working in the UAE’s construction sector and takes about seven minutes to complete.
The BBG Construction Working Group includes Deloitte, Mott MacDonald, Spencer Interiors & Contracting, the British Embassy Dubai, DLA Piper, Laing O’Rourke, McLaren, Serco and Turner & Townsend.
