Building Construction Company wins Emaar's Al-Khobar contract

Local contractor wins Al-Ghadeer Village construction deal in Saudi Arabia

Local contractor Building Construction Company (BCC) has won a contract from Emaar Middle East for construction work on the $600m Al-Ghadeer Village project in Saudi Arabia.

The contract is for the first construction phase of the Al-Ghadeer Village project, which is located on the north-east side of another Emaar Middle East project, the Al-Khobar Lakes development, close to Al-Khobar city. Site grading work is currently in progress, and BCC will soon begin construction work.

The Al-Ghadeer Village development covers an area of 217,910 square metres and will contain 232 residential properties. The project will also include a lake covering an area of 14,000 sq m and other facilities such as mosques, educational complexes, shopping centre, restaurants, and healthcare buildings.

Emaar’s Al-Khobar Lakes project covers an area of 2.6 million sq m, and will contain more than 2,000 private villas and various retail and entertainment facilities.

Emaar Middle East is a joint venture between Dubai-based Emaar Properties and local real estate company Al-Oula Real Estate Development Company.
