An Antonov-12 cargo aircraft skidded off the runway at Sharjah International Airport during its takeoff for Afghanistan on Friday, Gulf News has reported. The aircraft is owned and operated by British Gulf, a Russian-owned air cargo transportation company based at Sharjah International Airport Free Zone. The incident has reported no injuries while the aircraft sustained 'minor' damage.
