The Saudi Arabia-led coalition fighting Houthi rebels in Yemen have deployed ground troops in Aden to assist loyalist militia.

The exact amount of troops has not been disclosed, but was described as a “limited number” by a Saudi official.

The troops are believed to be the first ‘boots on the ground’ from the coalition forces and they will be utilised alongside continued air strikes on the Iran backed Shia rebels.
