Commission awards Jubail housing contract to Azmeel

23 October 2008
The Royal Commission for Jubail & Yanbu has awarded a housing contract worth more than SR200m ($53m) to the local Azmeel Contracting & Construction Corporation.

The contract covers the procurement and construction of about 200 housing units within the community area of Jubail 2.

The project duration is two years.

It is the third contract to be awarded by the commission in October.

Earlier this month a SR100m earthworks deal was awarded to the local Saad Sahmi al-Hajri & Partner Company.

A joint venture of the local Radicon-Gulf Consult and UK-based Kentz Engineering International was also awarded a SR100m engineering design contract (MEED 21:10:08).
