

Dubai-based Damac Properties has awarded two contracts totalling nearly AED588m ($160m) for construction work at its Damac Hills development in Dubai.
The contracts were awarded to Construction & Reconstruction Engineering Company (CRC) to develop the Gems estates cluster and Cavalli villas.
The first contract, valued at AED341m, is for the main construction works for the Gems Estates cluster.
The second contract, worth AED247m, is to construct the Cavalli villas.
Damac projects
In September, Damac launched two new significant projects in Dubai.
Damac unveiled a 64-storey residential tower named Volta in the downtown area of Dubai. Engineering Consortium Consulting Engineers is working as the architect on the project.
Most recently, the company announced the 46-storey Damac Casa residential project in the Al-Sufouh area. The soil testing works are currently ongoing at the site.
