Saudi Arabia’s Sisban Holding Company has awarded the main construction contract for hotel project in Jeddah to the local Specialized Contracting Company (SCC).

SCC will build the estimated $150m Swissotel project in Jeddah, according to a company spokesperson who also confirmed that local firm Mohamed Harasani Architects will be working on the project .

The hotel will be operated by Switzerland’s Swiss Hotel and Resorts.

The five star hotel, which will be located on Palestine Street in Jeddah, will have 350 rooms and is expected to be completed within two years.

Sisban is also understood to be developing a Fairmont Hotel in Jeddah. The main construction contract is yet to be tendered with the project’s progress currently unclear.
