Property will be built at Jumeirah Beach Residence
The local Dubai Contracting Company (DCC) has been awarded the contract to build the Edition Hotel building at Jumeirah Beach Residence in the Dubai Marina area.
The 10-storey hotel will have 258 rooms and a total built-up area of about 60,000 square metres. The hotel will have several food and beverage outlets, a spa, a beach club, meeting and event space and a business centre.
The Edition Hotel brand is part of the US Marriott International.
The hotel is being developed by a joint venture of the local Dubai Properties and the US Ian Schrager Company.
Dubai Properties is developing a several projects in Dubai, including another property at JBR. In February it appointed DCC as the main contractor for its 1/JBR project.
That project involves the construction of the 46-storey tower, which will be made up of 163 residential units.
