The seven-month contract involves site preparation, shoring works and the excavation of 1.1 million cubic metres of material for a three-level parking basement with 7,000 spaces.

The mall will have 140,000 square metres of gross leasable area. It will have a 14,000 sq m hypermarket, 300 stores, and a 12-screen cinema.

The UK's Mott MacDonald is the lead consultant and US-based RTKL is the architect for two retail areas at DSC. Local developer Dubai Sports City is the client (MEED 11:08:06).
