Abu Dhabi-headquartered Arabian Construction Company (ACC) has started work as the main contractor to build the tallest residential building in the world, the Six Senses Residences Dubai Marina.
The 122-storey tower will be over 500 metres tall and will have more than 250 residential units, including two-, three- and four-bedroom residences; four-bedroom half-floor penthouses; four-bedroom duplex Sky Mansions; and five-bedroom triplex Sky Mansions.
The project developer is Dubai-based Select Group, which acquired the site in Dubai Marina last year. It was previously developed as a project known as the Pentominium Tower, with ACC as the contractor.
The project's consultants are Canada’s WSP and Australian firms Woods Bagot and Mitchell & Eades.
Select Group has several projects under construction in Dubai. MEED reported in February that the company had selected local contractor Engineering Contracting Company for a AED655m ($178m) deal to build The Edge project in Business Bay.
In 2023, it awarded contracts to the local Al Basti & Muktha for the construction of Peninsula Four at Business Bay and the local Innovo for its Six Senses Residence project on the Palm Jumeirah.
