Aldar development will be built on Yas Island
Local developer Aldar Properties has awarded the local Trojan General Contracting the AED1.7bn ($463m) contract to build the first three precincts of its Yas Acres development.
The 32-month contract will involve Trojan completing all infrastructure, 652 villas and townhouses, the golf course, golf club house, mosque, retail and community clubs.
The development comprises a total of 1,315 homes, a golf course, schools, retail, and other leisure amenities.
Last year, Aldar appointed a main contractor for its $120m mid-market Shams Meera residential project in Abu Dhabi.
The $70m contract, which was awarded to the local Fibrex, will see the firm work on the construction of 400 apartments and all associated works at the Shams Abu Dhabi scheme on Reem Island.
The project will be made up of two towers at 25 stories each.
