The development comprises the 21 reclaimed islands that make up Australasia. Together they offer a total land area of 417,000 square metres. The residential component will include apartment buildings, water homes, beachfront villas and mansions. They will be complemented by a retail centre, hotel, and spa resort.
The project manager is Proman/Hill International. The client is Oqyana Limited, a subsidiary of Kuwait’s Investment Dar (MEED 22:6:07).
Oqyana is one of the largest projects planned for The World - an archipelago of over 200 islands reclaimed off the Dubai coastline by local developer Nakheel.
