Contractors encouraged to bid for Saudi Aramco offshore work

02 August 2010

Contractors have been invited to bid for offshore work at Saudi Aramco's non-associated gas fields feeding Wasit, the biggest gas plant built in the kingdom, Reuters has reported. The state oil giant invited contractors to bid for the onshore packages last month. Wasit, which is set to process up to 2.5 billion cubic feet per day (cfd) of gas from the Arabiyah and Hasbah offshore fields, along with the Khursaniyah and Karan gas plants, would help the kingdom to reach its target of increasing raw gas production to 15.5 billion cfd by 2015.
