Emaar is also evaluating bids for the worlds tallest tower
Local developer Emaar Properties has received bids for the contract to build infrastructure at the Dubai Creek Harbour development.
The contract, which has a target completion date of December 2019, includes roads, bridges, drainage, utilities and marine works for the Dubai Creek Harbour site, which is located on the banks of Dubai Creek in the Ras al-Khor area.
The contract also includes managing the design and other facets of the project such as waste management, for which contractors are likely to hire external consultants and subcontractors.
The consultant for the infrastructure is US-based Parsons. The programme manager for the development is UK-based Faithful+Gould.
Contractors have also submitted bids to build the worlds tallest tower on the Dubai Creek Habour site. The procurement is being fast-tracked and Emaar is planning to award the construction contract in December.
A large retail district and residential towers are also planned for Dubai Creek Harbour, which is being developed by a joint venture of Emaar Properties and Dubai Holding.
