Cultural attraction will be built in Nizwa area
Omans Royal Court Affairs has received bids for the contract to build estimated $500m Oman Renaissance Museum project.
Located in the Nizwa area, the 50,000-square-metre museum has been designed to be a cultural landmark for the sultanate. It has a wood and metal design and will also use locally sourced stone.
Australias Cox Architecture is the designer.
Another cultural attraction is being developed by the Heritage & Culture Ministry. In December 2014, it received offers from four contractors for the deal to build the Oman Cultural Complex in Muscat.
