Etihad Airways to suspend all flights to and from Qatar effective 6 June
Saudi Arabia and Bahrain have closed all land, sea and air ports to traffic headed to or originating from Qatar.
The UAE said it will close its airspace within 24 hours, while Egypt also has closed both sea and air space to Qatar.
In addition to closing its airspace, ports and territorial waters to air traffic and shipping to and from Qatar, Bahrain said it is banning citizens from travelling to Qatar or staying there. It will also not allow Qatari citizens to enter or transit through Bahrain.
Saudi Arabia said the decision is in solidarity with the sisterly kingdom of Bahrain, which is subjected to terrorist campaigns and operations supported by the authorities in Doha.
Saudi citizens are likewise prohibited from travelling to, residing in or passing through Qatar. Qatari residents and visitors in Saudi Arabia are also given 14 days to leave the country. Qatari citizens are also no longer allowed to enter or transit in Saudi Arabia.
This follows the decision of both states, in addition to Egypt and the UAE, to sever diplomatic ties with Qatar.
Abu Dhabi flag carrier Etihad Airways has said all flights to and from Doha will be suspended effective 6 June. The last flight from Doha to Abu Dhabi will depart at 4:00am (Doha time) on 6 June.
