Highly profitable and well capitalised, the GCC banking sector appears to be in rude health as it seeks to respond to the growing demand for finance following the two-year fall in oil prices.
But Fahd Iqbal, head of Middle East research at investment bank Credit Suisse, says that while the opportunities are growing, so too are the challenges facing the regions banks.
