Crowne Plaza Hotels, part of the InterContinental Hotels Group, is set to build the first four-star hotel in Duqm, Oman, Times of Oman has reported. To be built in traditional Omani style, the four-storey property on a 10-hectare plot next to the Arabian Sea is to feature more than 200 guest rooms and suites, as well as a complete range of dining, leisure, and recreational amenities, meeting and conference facilities. The hotel, which will be developed by Omran, Oman’s leading tourism-related investment, development and management company, is planned to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2012.
