New lagoon will be part of Mohammed bin Rashid City development in Dubai
Crystal Lagoons has signed a deal to construct the worlds largest manmade lagoon in Dubai. The lagoon, which will cover 40 hectares, will be built as part of the $7bn Mohammed bin Rashid City.
With its expansive beaches, the lagoon is envisaged to be a core amenity within Mohammed bin Rashid City District One, which is being developed by a joint venture of Dubai-based Meydan Group and Indias Sobha Group. The project includes 1,500 villas and a 350,000-square-metre water park.
Caribbean landscapes are no longer exclusive to tropical destinations. Our pioneering concept and state-of-the-art technology, which allows for sustainable, swimmable, turquoise lagoons of unlimited sizes to be built and maintained at low cost anywhere in the world, is proving extremely popular with our growing list of partners across the Middle East, said Kevin P Morgan, chief executive officer (CEO), Crystal Lagoons.
