Cybarco wins library contract

The Cypriot/local Cybarco Bahrainreceived in late August a letter of intent for the contract to build the Sheikh Isa bin Salman al-Khalifa library and conference hall in Manama. Cybarco was the lowest of 10 bidders at BD 15.1 million ($39.7 million) for the project. Bids ranged up to BD 20.5 million ($54 million).

The contract covers the construction of a three-storey library on a 4,970-square-metre site; and a three-storey multi-purpose convention centre covering 8,100 square metres. The consultant is Baker Wilkins & Smith (Middle East)of the UK (MEED 14:6:02).
