Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank to fund expansion at Dubai Airport Free Zone
Dubai Airport Free Zone (Dafza) has secured a AED500m ($136m) loan from Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) that will be used to finance the free zone’s expansion.
ADIB said the funds would be used for the expansion of Dafza’s office buildings, business centre and food court, which will be completed in 2015.
Dafza was established in 1996, and said that trade volume in 2012 was up 73 per cent, compared with 2011, and sales revenue was up 26 per cent.
