Al-Shafar General Contracting Company will build tower project on Reem island

Local real estate developer Damac properties has selected the local Al-Shafar General Contracting Company to build its Marina Bay development, located in the Najmat area on Al-Reem island.

Marina Bay is a mixed-use 25-storey tower development consisting of one, two and three bedroom apartments. The tower will also have shops and commercial properties on the lower levels.

The local National Dewatering and Drainage Services was awarded the AED7.5m ($2m) enabling works package in June last year.

Damac also recently awarded a AED500m contract to the local Arabtec Construction to build its Damac Heights tower development at Dubai Marina.

The 90-storey tower will include 600 residential apartments, cinema, gymnasium and swimming pool (MEED 5:5:10).
