DCE picked for 23 Marina

The local Dubai Civil Engineering (DCE) has been selected for the AED 485 million ($132 million) main construction contract on the 23 Marina tower project in Dubai Marina. The three-year contract calls for the construction of a 380-metre, 88-storey tower (MEED 10:3:06).

The client had originally selected the local/Australian Nasa Multiplex in May 2005 to carry out the main contract and provide construction management services. However, the client altered its strategy in the belief that it could get more competitive bids.

India's Hafeez Contractor is the architect; the consultant is the local office of KEO International Consultants. The client is Hircon International, a JV of the local ETA Star and India's A Hiranandani.
