Sporting club currently plays home matches at Cairo Stadium
Consultants could be asked to prequalify for design work on the new Al-Ahly Sporting Club stadium in Cairo by the end of this year.
According to sources close to the project, design work on the project, which involves building an 85,000 seat stadium in the 6 October City, could start at the end of 2014 or early next year, after the clubs board approves funding for the project. The club is currently seeking nominations for a new board.
US-based Hill International was awarded a contract to provide project management services for the project in 2012.
