Retail centre is scheduled to open in time for the Expo in 2020
The local Lulu Group International is preparing to issue tender documents for the contract to build its estimated AED1bn ($272m) Silicon Mall retail centre at Dubais Silicon Oasis.
The 215,000 square metre shopping mall features a futuristic façade so that it becomes a local landmark. The mall will also have covered parking for up to 3,000 cars across two levels.
There will be more than 300 retail units with 12 anchor stores including a two-level LuLu Hypermarket and Department Store. There will also be a 6,500 square metre family entertainment centre and more than 50 food and beverage outlets.
Project completion is planned for 2020.
The companies already working on the project include the local Adnan Saffarini as the design consultant and the local Universal Piling Company as the contractor for the foundations. Lulu is developing the project using its subsidiary Line Investments & Property.
