Dewa reports increase in Dubai peak load

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) has revealed Dubai's annual electricity peak load grew by 6161MW as of July 2010 compared with 5622MW in total for the same period in 2009. The rate of peak demand for water in the emirate during the month of July rose to 287 million gallons per day, compared to 271 million gallons per day for the same month last year, recording an increase of 5.9%. The total installed capacity of the current production is 7830 MW for power and 330 million gallons of desalinated water per day, according to Dewa.
