Local firm will provide cooling services for Mirdif project
Local district cooling provider Emicool has been awarded a contract by developer Dubai Investments Real Estate Company (DIRC) to provide district cooling services for a new AED3bn ($816m) development in the Mirdif area of Dubai.
Emicool will provide district cooling services through 15,000 tonnes of refrigeration (TR) chilled water from a utility complex for the Mirdif Hills development.
Emicool increased its overall capacity by 13 per cent in 2016, and the Mirdif Hills scheme forms part of its plans to increase its total capacity to more than 500,000 TR by 2020.
The mixed-use Mirdif Hills development is scheduled to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2018.
