DNO ramps up Tawke production

Average for second quarter almost 150,000 b/d

Norway’s DNO has seen second quarter production at the Tawke field in Iraqi Kurdistan increase during the first three months of 2015.

DNO said in a statement that the field had produced an average of 149,309 barrels a day (b/d) in the second quarter, up from 104,925 b/d in the first quarter. The company also said that a daily record of 170,000 b/d had been produced.

The Norwegian oil company also disclosed that it had completed an investment programme at the field that increased wellhead, processing and pipeline capacity to 200,000 b/d. the scope of completed works includes 10 horizontal wells, two production trains and a 27 mile 24-inch pipeline.
