Doha invites contractors to submit prices for commercial building

Contractors have until 19 June to submit bids

Qatar’s Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has invited contractors to submit bids for a contract to build a commercial centre in Doha.

Contractors have until 19 June to submit bids for the construction package. The commercial building will contain two basement floors, ground floor with arcade and two floors with a total built-up area of 62,265 square metres. The contract will also include the required electromechanical works.

Contractors are also preparing to submit bids for another Ashghal building project on 19 June. Ashghal has invited contractors to submit prices for the contract to build a general cleaning complex at Mesaimeer, on the outskirts of Doha.

The general cleaning project will cover a total area of 90,000 sq m and will contain integrated facilities for government cleaning equipment and accommodation for employees.

The project will contain a refuse equipment area, six diesel stations including fuel distribution systems, 11 truck and bus parking sheds and a store room for tools and spares. In addition to the cleaning facilities, the complex will contain residences and related amenities. It will contain accommodation for labourers, junior accommodation and married accommodation. The scheme will also contain a restaurant and supermarket.
