UK-based Doosan Babcock has been awarded two long-term maintenance agreements (LTMA) Abu Dhabi Gas Industries’ (Gasco) gas processing facilities in the UAE.

Under the five-year contracts, Doosan Babcock will provide maintenance and shutdown services at the Habshan and Bab complex in Abu Dhabi.

Doosan Babcock had previously provided specialist engineering technologies for steam generation plant assets across Gasco’s sites, the company said.

Doosan Babcock recently opened its Middle East and North Africa (Mena) engineering consultancy hub in Abu Dhabi, designed to provide engineering services to the power, water, oil and gas, petrochemical and industrial sectors.

Doosan Babcock is a subsidiary of South Korea-based Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction.
