Contractor also records 66 per cent increase in project backlog during 2010
UAE-based contractor Drake & Scull International (DSI) has won three new contracts worth a total of AED100m ($27m) in the UAE and Oman.
In a statement the company said that it will carry out the mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) works on two projects in Oman, and the complete civil construction and MEP works for a project in Dubai.
“We have won 26 major projects across the region since the start of 2010 and we look forward to the major contribution these will make to the company’s development in 2011 and beyond, ” said Khaldoun Tabari, chief executive officer, Drake & Scull International.
DSI also announced that the company’s backlog at 30 September 2010 was AED5.5bn, a 66 per cent increase on the AED3.3bn backlog that it recorded at the end of 2009.
