Amer Kazim will replace Mark Shuttleworth in December
The UAEs Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (Du) has appointed Amer Kazim as its new chief financial officer (CFO). He will be replacing Mark Shuttleworth in December.
Shuttleworth, who has been with the telecoms operator for eight years and was involved in its listing on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), will remain with Du until the end of the first quarter of 2014 to supervise its 2013 financial results and carry over his responsibilities.
Kazim, a UAE national, joins Du from Dubai Airport, where he held the position of senior vice-president for group services for four years. Prior to that, he worked as group chief CFO at the local Meraas Holdings and as senior vice-president of finance for Dubais Emirates airline. Kazim has a degree in accounting from the University of Colorado in the US.
