
In his new role, Bin Byat will work closely with Dubai Holding’s chairman Mohammad al-Gergawi and the executive committee on consolidating the back-office operations of Dubai Holdings’ real estate and investment companies. He will also develop a strategy for increasing the overall efficiency of the group (MEED 16:2:09).
Bin Byat was the executive chairman of Tecom Investments, which is a part of Dubai Holding. He also holds a number of other positions including chairman of the Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), also known as Du; chairman of the Dubai Real Estate Corporation, and chairman of the Aswaaq Founding Committee. He is also a member of the Zayed University board of trustees.
