Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (Dewa) has invited contractors to submit proposals for the contracts to develop water reservoirs at Nakhali and Lusaily.
Dewa has invited contractors to submit bids for two contracts: one for Nakhali reservoirs 1 and 2, with a total capacity of 120 million imperial gallons a day (MIGD), and the second for the 60MIGD Lusaily reservoir.
The client has set a bid deadline of 30 May for both contracts.
The project is part of Dewa’s programme to upgrade and expand the emirate’s water network and storage capacity. The Nakhali reservoirs will increase Dubai’s storage capacity to about one billion gallons of water.
Dewa is expected to complete the project to develop a water pipeline from Jebel Ali to Al-Hebab in May. The pipeline will deliver water to Nakhali, Al-Aweer, Al-Qudra and the Dubai Endurance City areas.
