Dubai Municipality has announced the launch of Person in Charge (PIC) programme for food establishments in an effort to tighten food security in the emirate. Starting January 2011, all food establishments will be required to have a PIC trained and certified in food safety. The training programmes are to be custom-made for each type of industry with different training programmes elaborating what a PIC in a retail, manufacturing, trading business should do.
