Temporary cooling will be replaced in Ghoroob and Shorooq
Dubai Properties Group is expected to award a consultancy contract for two district cooling plants, to serve Ghoroob Mirdif, Shorooq Mirdif and parts of Al-Khail in November.
The work involves project and design management for two plants with a capacity of 32,000 tonnes of refrigeration.
Dubai Properties Group, part of Dubai Holding, completed Ghoroob Mirdif, which covers 3.3 million square feet, in 2010. Shorooq Mirdif comprises 1,428 residential units.
Both are currently relying on temporary chiller plants.
